As above, for Defender, an adjustable tow bar hitch. Different to the norm, height is screw adjustable and locks to set heights so infinitely adjustable through it's full range .. ideal if you tow a variety of trailers, or like we did, a caravan and a couple of different (household and motorbike carrier) trailers. As seen, no fittings or ball, but I wouldn't use old fittings on a tow bar anyway!! £50 collected from Doncaster DN3 area.

Small video of it working ..

LOL, just watched, and listened to, the video .. the drill is on hammer ... ;)

Anyone interested before I start to chop it up to use elsewhere? Reasonable offers ... ;)

It is .. I'm gonna chop it up this weekend for use in another project. To post I'd have to take the tie-bars off, which I'm happy to do if you want, but I'd suggest replacing the bolts when you get it, and I'd guess it'd be maybe £15 'cos of weight .. so call it £60 posted.

If you want it pm me an address and I'll send you Paypal email address .. ;)

Who in gods name made that, I haven't seen anything like that before. Very clever.

Not a clue, but when I first got it a chap offered me £150 straight off!! At the time I needed it fitted to the Landy ... I use a removable hitch now, but I was going to cut this one up and add it to the removable tow hitch for extra flexibility, but mine works as it is now, and a few quid will help in other areas ... ;)

Indeed, I am guessing you could adjust once you have a trailer loaded as well. i.e if you put more stuff in the boot of your landy or change your trailer load.

Exactly. However we now only tow the caravan and a single trailer and I've sorted the height disparity between them so I was only going to chop it up 'cos I can and it'd possibly come in handy 'sometime in the future' .. I rarely properly scrap things, I usually turn 'em into something else!
