What engine?

Mine will only start if I do not touch the accelerator as doing this deactivates the cold start mechanism

If it's a 200tdi then foot hard down whilst starting.

Could be lift pump or leak off pipes on tdi

welcome btw:)

hello

I bet he's pumping the accelerator as he tries to start it.

Was pressing my accelerator for two mornings while trying to start it, (just got the 2.5 N/A) and it wouldn't have it.
Tried with no throttle and a bit of heat and it started first turn with frost on the windows.

Used to tdi's:rolleyes:

Yep, the n/a needs no help at all. Ah...i remember those days...life seemed to go at a very slow pace, lol.

its a 2.5 n/a im not pumping the accelerator and also changed the injectors,i turn the key and leave it for about 20 seconds it just hate mornings i think lol

Pump timing may be a little retarded, does it smoke for ages after starting?
Should virtually stop smoking shortly after starting.

Follow the instructions below.
