I have just snapped my heater control in my 90, it's the one that controls the fan speed on the left, it started getting stiff then snapped on me today!!

What do i need to do to get it working again?

Thanks in advance

Its a 1997 300 tdi

No its not the cable, the arm has snapped off in my hand! also i think its electronic and not cable operated???

The mechanism is held on by 2 or 3 screws. Take it off the left hand side of the instrument panel and you will have to see if the mechanism is moving or seized.
If you can free it up then you "might" be able to superglue the knob back on..... unlikely but you don't know until you try.

What do you need a heater control for anyway? Defender heaters don't do anything. Get a dog to breath on you, it's a lot warmer (and in some cases a lot better smelling)

I need the little lever knobs that sit on the end of the hot/clod setting on the right of the dash. I am constantly cutting my fingers to bits moving them!

Crocks. If you are injuring yourself when operating the levers just buy new knobs, part number MTC2805.

Part number UTP1125 is for LHD vehicles only, for RHD vehicles you need UTP1126 (superceeded by STC4848).:)
