Hi guys. I've got an ex-RAF 90 rag top and I'm in the process of giving it a fresh lick of paint and generally doing it up. The tilt is in good condition but the rope laces running along the sides and down at the rear are getting a bit frayed. Been searching online to no avail for anywhere that supplies replacement ones. Any ideas?

I used bungee cord. Was cheap on ebay. Keeps it nice and tight down the sides. For the back flap I cut individual loops that I hook around.

I did the same on my previous Defender, and I'm planning on doing it to the MOD D90 I just picked up. It makes life much quicker and easier if you want to roll up the sides in nice weather (I vaguely remember what that's like :()

Use elastic cord as suggested, I made a set for my softop using black elastic bungee and it is way better and the hood fits much tighter.

Just got a 10m length from e-bay for £6.95, arrived today so will get it rigged up tomorrow. 6mm, black. Free postage. Bouncing Rabbit shock cord. Cracking service and looks good quality.
