Defender 200tdi Dash Challenge

All,

Trust you are well and have had a great Christmas.

I have owned a 1990 Defender since March and am now looking to spend some money on it.

I would appreciate if you help me with a few queries.

In the attached photo ...

1) How easy is it to remove and replace the top padded rail? (marked yellow)

2) Can anybody give me the part name or link to purchase a replace for the plastic top rim labelled red?

(1) few screws either end (including one under the landrover sign) and a few hidden on the underside of it along its length, 5 minutes..

(2) get a raptor center console, should cover up most of the broken bits on that part..

Many thanks redhand and Defender 110.

I think I will get a new padded rail ordered in that case and whip the old one off next weekend.

I have been thinking about a new dash console, however I am put off by the fact that I only have a flip out screen (soon to be purchased along with reverse camera) and cigarette lighter to fill it with - maybe I need to invest in a CB radio and some dials/switches!

I have LED front and back lights, and new light surrounds and grill on order - looking forward to a weekend of fun when it all arrives.
