HI, I have a 110 Defender 200tdi. Mine has Heater plugs. Mine starts on the button every time even in-20C. The engine never seems to turn over once before it fires up. Even when it was left standing for three months in the winter.
I don't know of any diesel engine that does not have glow plugs, Sounds a bit strange to me.

Hi again, just seen the picture of your Landy. Very nice. It's always worrying when you buy something different. I'm sure you will be happy with it and I thing the price was good. You just need to now make it yours by adding your personal touches to it.
One thing about Defenders is they are easy to work on and the parts are cheep. Look up www.Paddocks. I live in France and I get all my stuff from them. They only charge £5 for shipping up to 30kilo and its a good service. 3 to 4 working days.
