Defender 110 below 5k

Ive decided to take the plunge and buy my self a defender 110.
Im budgeted to 5k, ideally 4k with 1k to spent on work that will need doing.

I dont want a commercial, i want 2 rows of seats and windows in the back. Thats the station wagon right?

Can i **** find one.
im checking here, ebay, auto trader and google.
any sites you can suggest to look on?

I got lucky with mine for £4500 and it was a 2001 300 TDI model :D
Needed some cleaning up in the back though.

Like Benny says it can take a long time to find the right one and be prepared to travel potentially 100s of miles. A professional RAC inspection is wise too if your after a keeper :)

Will be sorting the cash out this week, so who knows may go buy that one!

out of curiosity, does anyone know what the load length in the back of a 110 csw is?

I spent 6 months looking for mine and travelled to Heathrow to view and buy off ebay. I paid 4.9k, 114k on the clock and solid as a rock. Full service history. If you take your time, do your homework you can bag a good deal for cash.

hopefully ill be sorting the money out today, then i can start looking.
might have a freelander to throw in if its a trader i buy from.

just gotta keep looking.

should i expect full service and sub 120k for 5k?

Sub 120k, more than likely.
Full service? Maybe not.
