Hey I got a reply from LR Customer Relations at Coventry! :)

A veiled apology and sort of it aint got nought to do with us mate. :(

Ahh well I suppose I did get a reply.

End of story I think.
 
If it's the dealer doing the work, and the dealer has caused a problem which you feel they should pay for, then it's the dealer you need to go after. LR won't get involved.

I've had similar with my auto. After starting the fight I realised there's more to life so put it down to eggsperience too. Annoying but you have to think about the "is it worth it" factor.
