post your query up on consumer action group website and youll no doubt hear from a solicitor on his day off who will advise you as to what your legal rights and entitlements are and how best to resolve your issue.
personally, as someone has already said, if they broke it then they should fix it, regardless of how it broke, it was there responsibly when you contracted them to repair it for you and i dont think that you were paying them to break your glass.
