1 or 2 thou liner protusion would be std for wet liners or hot spots any thing that needed to be held by head clamping pressure more wouldnt be a good idea
Yes that's pretty much what the writer said. Interestingly, he seemed to have a great deal of faith in the standard iron liners.
So would the turbo really give the cooling system more heat to chew on then? What would it do to fuel economy (just out of curiosity.)
The injuns go for between £500-550 on ebay with pretty low milages. Interesting indeed.
One thing the bloke said in that article was that almost flush liners are preferable with only 1 or 2 thou proud like mine were.
I still reckon 220T series turbo. Much more robust
My mistake....
It's a PG1 gearbox (see wiki) and a Torsen LSD (limited slip diff) .
