Sanded and started priming the roof bars. Realised I'm missing a couple of bits so I need to pop by and pick those up tomorrow AM.
Sanded and primed a spare alloy to try some different paints.
Avoided fixing any of the real problems.....

That's the badgers. I only found out when I watched a vid on removing the roof!
And one rubber seal from the bottom mount.
Breakers are fine about it. Just need to pop down tomorrow.

Well that was fun.
Standing in the rain trying to explain to an eastern european lad that I wanted him to climb into a freelander that is sitting on an old cherokee, stand with his head through the sunroof and remove the blocks from the roof gutters that hold the rails. And yes, I want the screws and rubbers.
All sorted now though.

The CIO wheel didn't look quite right to me. Not quite dark enough for the 'distinctive' colour of the body. It would look bang tidy on a red or blue motor though.
Out with the U-Pol satin black....
All the roof rack bits not have at least one coat or primer and the cross-piece is done and painted. Should I lacquer it.....?

I been thinking of respraying my wheels too as a couple of them are in poor shape.
I'll be using me new favourite libation though. Stone Chip. :p

Silver look lost on the car. Only have black paint....
Would have preferred gun-metal or similar, but needs must.
Only a test anyway.

Side steps. I know many don't like them, but I do.
Mine are tatty so I need suggestions for a suitable paint that is hard wearing and not frictionless in the rain.
Ideally satin black to match everything else I touch :)
