He isn't :p:p

As Zip is leading our group, lunch will be somewhere remote on top of a hill and according to McKenzie always windy :D:D Usually sandwiches, cake etc, whatever you bring.

Dont know what Heidi and John are planning

More than likely the same as Zip, on top of some remote hill so make sure you bring food with you 😊😊😊 still need to sort out the routes though as we are complete strangers to Yorkshire 😳

AndyD90 is with you, he has done all of the lanes in the past and came with us on the route checking :D:D

He just doesn't feel he has the experience to lead a group yet

And I am putting together a description of the lanes for our groups. Will give people some idea of what to expect. Will also look at possible detours if anyone wants to miss lanes. I know Andy is doing the same on the extreme route

After a week of scorching temperatures, parts of Britain look likely to have to put summer on hold as torrential rain sweeps in.

A severe weather warning has been issued for much of the country on Saturday, with the Met Office predicting heavy, thundery showers, frequent lightning and hail may develop everywhere except Scotland, Northern Ireland and the west of Wales. ⚡️⚡️☔️☔️

Oh dear, but at least the lanes will be a lot more interesting and the fords will have some water in them.

I will also check the route for any potential hazards if its rained heavily. Dob park ford is the worst in heavy rain and its not on the routes, but care will still be needed on some of them. We already have a potential route change to miss the Deadmans mud slide if necessary. But its in Zips head, might need to put it on memory map :D

On a similar note, this applies to any group. For the benefit of those not familiar with the dales - there is very little fuel available, even less if you want it at a sensible price. There is a very small filling station in Hawes for Sunday morning / Saturday evening if required

We have set the start times for both days at 10am to allow people chance to arrive at the start point with a fully fuelled vehicle and enough food to sustain them for the day.

There are very few options for buying fuel or food on the routes themselves as most of the towns are small and crowded with tourists and no room for parking a convoy of land rovers - this is the reason that we ask everyone to show up at 10am with fuel and food:D

any space left? i like to join for saturday and maybe couple of hours on sunday as have to head back to london
