Disco 2 D2 splutter

Me again. Soooooo, replaced the waste gate valve and all three vacuum pipes off it and replaced the MAF. Went for a run up the motorway and as I hit 70 the car spluttered, juddered and then went into limp home mode and the engine light came on. Stopped, restarted car and made my way but new bits have made no difference. Nanocom logged the error - 21,6, problem detected with driver (charming!) demand.

Demand is for bloody car to work properly!

Am now flummoxed and considering investing in a sturdy pair of walking boots.

Anyone have any further ideas?
 
I would definately say that fault is to do with the pedal position. If you run nanocom and monitor the pedal position it should be smooth and linear.

Accel. 1 + Accel. 2 should add up to 5v ALWAYS. If they don't, you have a duff pedal
 
I can clear the fault but haven't yet. Plus I did change the bleed valve. Could this pedal issue be what the problem is? Car runs perfectly when pottering around, just hard accelerating is the problem?
 
If you have the latest software version saved, then it will do it automatically if you select the instrument mode on a nanocom.

just plugged in the Nanocom - accel 1 is at 0.673 at idle and accel 2 is about 4.366 so adding up to just over 5 - same ratio as I accelerate, always just over 5
 
Depends if it beeps a few times.

Only reason I ask is that @sierrafery was saying before this could affect throttle patterns, which low range does do.

Easy way to check if low range switch is working is to select HDC. switch while in Low range and in Hi range.

I have often wondered if it made a real world difference. That was noticeable.

Ok, so the switch is working correctly.

I would still suggest getting data under load while you are driving it..............NOT when sat in the drive revving it.

I can attest that it does. I tested this the other day as I thought my vehicle may be operating on the wrong mode. Shorted the selector switch out and it ran like crap on the road. But the High/Low map only started working when I sorted my clutch switch out.

Low ratio map works great in Low box though (as it should) :)

Interesting, as when on my manual , the HI LO switch failed , I do not remember it causing an issue. I only found it wa broken using a nanocom for testing the switch output.
