With having everything off I think I’ll remove the nut as they did and tap the shaft out! Looks a lot easier and less intimidating that wayTransfer box can be a few things but look at the output seals, front is an easy spot and the rear means your hand brake stops working, if neither of those then check out the intermediate shaft O-rings as they are the next (and IMHO the most likely) suspect.
Intermediate shaft circled left and the input shaft seal circled right.

There is a "bodge" for these as they are very common faults that makes a mess of your drive lol
