Guys,
I have an overfuelling problem with the car, I've tried a few things that have previously been suggested on this site, need to know if im on the right track on where to go next. So any help appreciated.
Discovery 1. 300 Tdi automatic, with EDC.
It's pumping clouds of black smoke out as soon as you touch the throttle, loss of power (cos I cant accelerate anyway!), and a possible misfire, which could be cos it's rich anyway.
So far I have done the following;
Changed Air Filter
Changed Fuel Filter
Changed Intercooler hoses.
Cleaned Intercooler.
Cleaned Cyclonic Breather.
Cleaned Air intake.
Replaced Cat downpipe with straight thru' pipe.
Swapped turbo with one of unknown ability, but supposed to be a good one.
End result, problem is still there.
So, i'm thinking it's got to be either a faulty pump, or the pump timing?
Could the timing belt have slipped? it's been on there for 30,000.
Thanks for any assistance.
