(D)utch series III

So here it is, cou’se we know diesels and stuff.

I am getting 50, so the car does.
It’s off the road for like 10yrs and it’s mott free. But doesn’t run.

We have, two motors.
Both petrol, 2,25.
First one as bought 24v 3 bearings
2’d 12v 5 bearings.

So first weapon of choice is, what?

The d3 is stripped to the bone.

Hi, Hot here too, unusual here on West Wales coast. I think choice may well be down to condition of engines.
Starter can be spun up with engine on the ground and compression test done.
If both similar then later engine would be my choice.
The 3 bearing can be changed to 12v by swapping ancillaries if the better unit.
Any idea of miles/kilometers on them?

Compression test, ok.
Sounds logical.

Agree 5mb stronger engine

I should go for the 5mb 12 volt…..
(But would suggest that you look for a 2.5na ….. )
