Selling my 110 genuine County station wagon fitted with 200tdi. Unexpected sale owing to change in family circumstances and my worsening bad back. Ebay listing above states all thats done but its a real good motor and I would love it to go to an enthusiast from here. Please feel free to have a look:

Actually they didnt make utilities in 1988 so you are both wrong. As per the advert its a County Station Wagon that was previously a V8. The previous owner took out the windows and covered the whole side with a black acrylic sort of sheet. Very strong and its bonded in. Inside it still has the window surrounds etc. I did consider replacing the windows but to be honest it works for me as it is.

It may have begun life back in 1988 as a 110 CSW but it certainly isn't one now.

The rear end isn't geniune, the seats aren't genuine and the engine certainly isn't genuine for a 1988 model.

The bonnet is a different colour to the rest of the vehicle and the headlights aren't genuine, neither is the grill or bumper.

There isn't a lot on it that is from the ' genuine ' CSW it began life as.

CSW's do get a fair price these days if unmolested, original decals and paintwork...

Yours looks like it's a choir boy that's been to too many choir practices with a dodgy priest...:D

While I generally value peoples opinions on here, and we are all entitled to them, I am not interested in the opinion of someone who feels that being unpleasant seems to boost his own ego. If its not for you then its not for you then its not for you, there is no need to be dismissive and nasty. At no point do I say they are genuine or original so to put it simply put your head up your arse.

It actually makes a big difference if its a CSW when new, even if its not that spec now.
Check VIN details with LR or logbook, CSW much more desirable

I did. I didnt say it was, 30 years on, perfectly original.

No one said you did :D

I said it wasn’t genuine as anything which related to it being genuine, has been replaced with something different.

You have a nice truck and I really hope you get a good price for it given your circumstances.

Good luck, Steve; I know what a bad back means, especially when driving a Defender! For me, I got one of those uprated clutch springs. Magic!
