How do !

Anybody driven to Greece via Croatia ? If so what's Croatia like ? tips ? routes ect ??

GO!!!! It's stunning, I did the Solvenian/Croatian coast and it is very beautiful, one of my favourite places for sure.

The coast line in Croatia is absolutely stunning - did it 13 years ago - not sure if its changed since new roads were put in. Also went to Mostar, very sobering place just after the war.

In 2011, as part of a larger trip, I drove from Hungarian boarder, through Croatia to Biograd Na Moru and then north via the Croatian cost. Absolutely stunning country. Though I am sure things will change now Croatia has joined the EU, I still feel Croatia is a much unknown paradise to us Brits (thank god). You will experience no issues in Croatia with authorities etc. Roads are some of the best in the world. Not a pothole in site. Honestly one of, if not the, most beautiful county I have ever travelled. Try to go inland too, some amazing landscapes.

I can't speak from personal experience about Albania and Montenegro but three of my mates did Lincoln to Athens and back via Italy last year. They didn't have any problems in either of those countries but described Albania as "very weird". I can imagine what they were experienced when they entered Albania was similar to what I felt when travelling rural Ukraine, a bit of a culture shock. If you go during holiday season, you will be in convoy with the masses of Germans that drive down the Croatian cost and some that go on to Greece. Apparently its what they do.

Go for it. It will be something you will remember for the rest of your life and encourage you to do more of the same. Don't be put off by horror stories of visiting these less developed countries. Just be aware of your surroundings. (most) people are nice in this world.

Yes we did go last summer ! Hated it ! Minging with Germans/Dutch, very expensive (£50 for a ****ty campsite/night). Got as far as split, so much traffic on the roads, We stopped just before Split and chilled on a campsite by the coast for a few days and came back via Slovania,Austria & Switzerland !

Going back to Morocco this summer

Ah what a shame you didn't enjoy it. I can only imagine how busy those narrow roads get. I was there at the end of October '11 so missed all the holiday goers. Still warm enough for as swim!

Have a good time in Morocco! I was going to go there with my dad when I was a youngster but had to cancel for family reasons. Luckily, we were still able to use the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry ticket a year later and got as far as south Spain where we stayed for a couple of weeks. Went in my dads '99 TD5 D90.. I don't remember much tbh.
