Change Hevac Controler

True. But what else could be the issue? I will check tomorrow if there is power on the pins when forcing the motor.
Keep in mind that the wrong motor works when I force the distrib motor.
If we come to the result that we need to check the hevac controller, could you give it an overhaul with new chips? Do you have a setting where you can proof functions? How much would this cost approximately and how long would it take?
If the wrong motor works when you force the distribution motor, you still have a connection problem.
I don't repair HEVAC's anymore, it's too hard on my eyes these days, plus I'm in France and since BREXIT posting stuff between the UK & France is a PITA.

A few years back there was a problem with Nanocom when trying to force a motor the other one worked. Turned out the one being forced had a duff potentiometer and hence the other moves. We had it on mine a few years back and I believe others have had same experience. Blackbox were informed and was a software glitch. Don't know if it was ever sorted out.

I suspect the Nanocom glitch is still there in latest release. I was checking blend motors recently, but ended up using 9V battery & multimeter before finding the connector that plugs into the HEVAC was intermittent. Replacement connector still sitting on my desk !!

Hey Guys, this is all just unbelievable.
Yesterday I double checked the motors and realized that the distribution motor is out of business. When did this happen? I don’t know. Anyway.
I changed this one against another one, connected my controller and had a book symbol again. 🙄
Than I swapped to the controller that I bought on ebay and - tadaaa - this looked super! No book, all motors were moving.
Than the controller shut down. Still saw a little glow on the display but nothing else. Ignition off and on, controller came back, but shut down again.

At least the problem is different now. To me that’s a solid success!

If anybody has an idea what could be the reason for the shutdown, feel warmly invited to share your thoughts!

By the way, I’m pretty sure I made a lot of mistakes during the whole process. I hope I haven’t been too annoying.
The good thing is I really learned a lot and that’s just great!

Peace, Igor

My son's was doing this and reseting itself!! It had a failed driver thingy for the aircon that caused us no end of headaches😩
It seems the old units are wearing over time with use. We use both of ours as daily drivers so the wear factor is raised somewhat 🤷

One of these days I must sort my spare HEVAC output driver & motor potentiometers !! Then I will do a bench test with Nanocom to see if it drives & tests the correct servos !!

16-pin connector is for my daily driver !!

When you say "shut down" do you mean that the display went off or did the controller stop working? Partial or complete disappearance of the display is a common problem resolved by fitting a replacement Zebra strip, currently not available. Even with the display off, the controller should continue to work. If the controller stopped working completely, it's back to checking the three 12 volt feeds.

Hey Guys, believe it or not: I’m finished. Hevac works like a dream. The shut down of the controller was just a poor battery.
Like I said before: Thank you to everyone who has helped me through this journey. It has been a long trip and you never let me down. Unbelievable.
A very special thank you to Datatek and Pete. You guys are my heroes for sure and I never ever would have come to this moment without you.
I also want to thank Mark and Rubberknees.

Wishing you guys the very best and I hope I will get the chance to give something back to you one day!!
