hi there,

One of the few things to do still is to replace the coolant. But tried to look in this forum, but can't really find the answers I am looking for.

- Is a flush always required or only when you have issues?
- When replacing I take the following steps:

0. Bring the car to temperature and full blast the heater?
1. Remove the hose going into the radiator on the left side (looking at the engine from the front)
2. Let it drain
3. Start engine to let it fully pump out what's left?
4. Attach the hose
5. Refill up to max
6. Start the engine and drive a bit
7. Check again if up to max
8. Continue step 5, 6, 7 for a bit?

The system bleeds itself? And while I am add it, do you guys typically pre-fill your fuel filter, or just replace it, turn the key, let it pump. Turn it off, let it pump and start?

Appreciate the help!

Just pull the bottom rad hose and let it spill, but keep in mind that the coolant isn't allowed to get on the ground or into drains, as it's toxic.

No need to flush if it comes out clean, and no need to start the engine either.

Just refill with the correct concentration of new coolant (red OAT), is all that's required.
