I am just about to start thinking of getting the machining done on my six pot now I have most of the bits needed to reassemble it.
It was off the road for over 20 years and the coolant have leaked out/evaporated so the waterways inside the block are full of dried out rust, coolant flakes and salts and general muckiness.
What can I do or use to flush this all out before getting the machining done to avoid it all ending up in my nice new, and expensive, water pump?

ask the guy doing the machine they are probably having a cleaning bath of some sort

They machine shop only has a diesel bath these days, the corrosive chemicals are mostly banned or too expensive to manage,
I have ended up doing it mechanically with long brushes, about 80% done so far
