Condensation in Oil filler cap

Hi all,

I've noticed some condensation (for want of a more accurate description) in the oil filler cap on my 4.0 Gems. There was a small amount of 'salad cream' in the cap but not a lot (as a former Montego owner I'm aware of what a lot looks like).

My coolant level has dropped maybe 1/2" over the last six months.

Anyone else got/had this? Probable causes?

If your doing short trips it's pretty normal to get some condensation on the filler cap. If it's there after a good run then you might have problems.

Do you do mostly shorter journeys?
