Just saw an L322 with one of those paint jobs where the colour changes with the angle from which you're looking. It seemed to go from sea green to peacock blue passing through shades of purple and gold. Not to my taste but it seemed technically to be an impressive job, even seemed to shine a lot better than standard. Anyone know if this was simply a colour option or some kind of limited edition?

As far as paintwork is concerned, its easy to paint, ground coat then the flip basecoat then clearcoat.. its the cost around £500 a litre:eek: depending on what paint you use...

Could just be a pearl. My hot rod is an Alfa colour, paint says blue but can look blue, silver or green! Paint wasn't expensive.

mine is black...... to change colour...... i find a nice big mud hole.....
instant s**t brown....... lol.

They had that on the p38 50th edition had a mate with one it would change colour as you walked round it

Yeah, 1998. I remember that, offered on all models, Fender, Disco and P38. Micatellic with dark oxidised looking wheels. Truth is, that's why I wondered if this was another special edition.

Anyway I learned the whole story today: the customer was initially delivered a lemon. After a year it was replaced while still under warranty - imagine that! Apparently the dealer got sick of fixing it and offered him a new one. The owner decided then to chip in a bit more and get a higher spec, better interior, different wheels and paid 6000 pounds for a special paint job.

Got this from an indy who used to work for the dealer at the time.
