When I said the correct LCM I meant one with the correct code for the 2006 facelift. I tried various forums but no one could give me the code which is why I bought the scanner to change the mileage and VIN.

Don't know if this is relavant anymore since you are just asking for a tool that will do it, not if the BMW scanner will do it.
I connected my BMW scanner and as you say it will not read the code. It does as you also say read the EEPROM data which it saves to a file on the PC.
My guess is that you can edit the line in the file and write it back using the write button on the scanner. Of course if it all goes wrong (also as previously said) you may end up with a very expensive brick on your drive.

With regards to the correct tool. As you said there are many options on these cars and I imagine it would be very expensive to make a tool that will change every option on every software version.

If it were me I would just take a portable radio rather than risk a flat battery in the middle of nowhere.

Or close the doors and open the windows , simples , lol

But ur right , seeing how power hungry they are , ref the radio

Also wondering is the 2004 still on the iso operating system or can bus, they changed half way over to OBD2 compliant didn’t they

Indeed , they use the T4 for a lot of the non OBD2 complaint vehicles , but u knew that already , lol
on mine they use the jaguar software , not the ford , but having my own iid saves me a lot of time and money by not having to go to them

Funny enough on the iid I turned the key in ign off with one press of the menu , simples , lol

SDD don't work with BMW era RR, T4 work with them, see all sensors, life time data and many many more, but can't do all things that you can do with INPA and NCS on BMW modules.

Was referring to my D3 with them using the jag software and not the T4 , but use my iid anyway as it can virtually do Everything there’s can

I also checked ur model on the menu of the gap iid,

I would imagine it's more likely a single bit change rather than a whole line of code.

Hopefully got the details correct

from further information it looks like the rangie TD6 has a Bosch DDE4 ECU with a Diagnostic ISO 9141 K line bus

ECU With connector numbers
CO331
CO332
CO603
CO604
CO606

Ecu can read 42x different problems with itself, its wiring and its associated sensors, storing the respective code if it detects any malfunction or reading outside of pre defined acceptable limits.

Values, configuration settings, and other stored information which can be read from the ECU, edited and then rewritten back. Read settings can also be stored as a standard HTML page for reference. These pages can then later be re loaded and re written back to the ECU. Please note that some values may be read only due to the fact that they are supplied from the ECU’s ROM or are internally calculated.

Although it is a modern enough ECU to fully support the limited degree of information and fault codes provided for by enforced OBDII compliance, there are of course many more fault codes, functions and features that this module gives access to including security link learning and re synchronisation.

BIt of useless information, lol

Ps, also seen quite a few who have re written codes etc and ended up with a useless bit of scrap on there driveway

One of the other reasons I like gap iid so much is there first rate customer service, if u want to turn something on/ off and the system will allow it to be done, gap will write a new code , u then go onto the internet plug ur tester into ur computer via a lead, download the software and then plug it into ur diagnostic socket and will download it ,

One case that someone messed around with code and his landy wouldn’t start gap wrote some new coding , guy downloaded it and into his landy , sorted

There based in Canada and will also answer within 24 hours and can’t be more helpful if they tried

EEPROM data is a bin file, and edit bin file without knowledge of all algorithms and schemes = 100% something go wrong. The TRC file from NCSExpert contain rows with options "aktiv" and "nicht_aktiv". T4 price is a about 2500 euros, Bosch KTS - from 1500 euros, this is not a cheap diagnostic.

I don't understand, I wrote a email to this guys, and they answer me - no, our tool can't manage this options. I'll write them second mail with you screen.

Yes this has been said a number of times.

I have the file, I know which row I need to change, but the problem is - I can't find the software/hardware tool that can upload a file right back.

From this I wrongly assumed you knew what to change.

Ok so you maybe good at this coding and diagnostics. Some of us on here have diagnostics we have and don’t play with unless we have a problem. So we can only give/point help in a direction we think may help. Some have more in-depth knowledge than others and maybe somebody with better knowledge will come along as this really doesn’t seem like a problem that others would be concerned about.

Have you also looked a BBS diagnostics they are good but not cheap (cheaper than Bosch KTS which I am not convinced would do what you want either)
If you want the door open and radio on why not jut click the lock on the door so it thinks it’s closed:)
But now you are talking about windows too?

Can I ask. Can you not program a BMW module with all relevant info then put your vin in so your RR recognises it?

That’s a question not a suggestion, I don’t want you saying I gave advise and now it’s all “bricked”

Anyway I hope you can resolve your issue and if you do then please let us know how.

Good luck, thanks.

J
I solve it.
With BMW Scanner, download codin data from LCM, open the file LCM......epb, change on 07 row 5th block to 00 and it's done. Thanks to all of you.

Glad you got it but as asked a bit more detail to complete the thread for future would be great.

Thanks.

To turn of the warning gong when key is in ignition lock you need:
1. BMW Scanner 1.4 + soft on your PC (there a many "how to install" in internet)
2. Connect BMW Scanner to the car and run software on you computer (PASoft)
3. Go to LCM module->Coding data->Read Coding Data
4. Go to BMW Scanner install folder on your PC, find the folder with date (8-5-2019_13-54-50 - will be something like this, but your real date)
5. Find there file with epb extension (LCM_hw07sw20 - something like this), and create copy of this file (if something go wrong you will be able to roll back).
6. Open the original file-> find 7 row->5th block in this row will be "08" or something else
7. Change the 5t block at 7 row to "00" (without quotes)
8. Save file
9. Open again BMW Scanner soft on your PC with connected BMW Scanner to the car-> LCM->Coding data->Write coding data->Select edited file-> Press OK - > Wait data to be writing to the LCM.
10. It's Done!

Now I'm searching for solution to make my right mirror go down when I select R on gearbox selector.

Now new problem - how to make right mirror (my car is left hand drive) to go down when I put R on geoarbox.

Thank you for the detail.

Why didn’t you start with the easy one:)

Can’t remember off top of my head but is doable within car if I remember. Let me have a look. But pretty sure it’s in the owners manual.

J

P.S can I please say that thanks/cheers/ please also go a long way.

You have to select drivers side mirror adjustment on the 3 way switch then the passenger mirror will dip when reverse selected.

As above.
But.

If it doesn’t dip then move it down on switch and press memory, I think.

It not work for me. I think it's turned off in code, because my RR not even VOGUE, just RR, without front seats heater, without closing mirrors when park (I can close them by hand) and without many more extras.
