Coding IKE and ZKE L322

Hi

What year is ur rangie plse, thks
2004, the year is not important, all BMW era RR have same ECUs - GM, IKE, LCM and etc.
About you screen of BMW Scanner/PA Soft - my first message was - IKE module return me - no coding data retrieved. And all this is because the modules for RR have different addressing, but if you read the code you will see same strings, like in every BMW with same module (differences are in other parts of memory). But I can't find the tool that can write back in ECU modified code.

Not sure about the other ECU's but you will find there are a number of different LCM's. I had to replace a faulty one a while ago and had to find the right one for a 2006 facelift.
I think you will also struggle to find which bit of the code to change, I searched the internet for weeks and ended up speaking to a LCM repair man who advised me to just buy the correct one.
You also need to make sure you put the correct code back in or you may change other settings and make things worse.

2006 Facelift is with FORD electronic, not BMW. This is the reason you was searching a while for a right one.
In BMW era ECUs code structure is different, config part have function with options aktiv or nicht_aktiv like this:
KINDER_SBE_1
nicht_aktiv
ERKENNUNG_SITZBELEGUNG_2
aktiv
SBE_ALT/NEU_2
alt
KINDER_SBE_2
nicht_aktiv
GURTSTRAFFER_FAHRER_2
aktiv

I have the file, I know which row I need to change, but the problem is - I can't find the software/hardware tool that can upload a file right back.
I can't believe that the T4 diagnostic tool haven't menu options to turn off gong, turn on/of extreme braking signal in LCM module and many others options that GM, LCM, IKE and other modules have.

Mine is a 2005 with a 2006 facelift done by a previous owner so BMW code.

I have not played with any other ECU's, only played with the LCM using the BMW scanner but there are a number of different ones that have different software versions that must be selected on the BMW scanner. From this I would assume that the year does matter.

You say you know which code to change, can you read the code in it's raw state?

What you speaking about are a rev. versions, RR have LCM IV, you can get LCM IV from any BMW, plug and code it for your BMW, with RR you will need some soft to code VIN and odometer (BMW Scanner can do this) and it will work.

I read the code with NCSExpert, I have trace file, but it is pretty impossible to upload it to IKE because ZCS. There is the way, if I code ZCS data with ZCS generator that will content same options that content my RR, but there is a problem, because I don't have my LCS (I don't know all options of my car, and if I code different ZCS, it will turn of some of options in my car). I found a thread at bmwcoders with same question, but bmwcoders stop registration and I can't ask "how to" all things.

And also I believe that there is simpler way to do this, no only hard ECU coding.

Ok so you maybe good at this coding and diagnostics. Some of us on here have diagnostics we have and don’t play with unless we have a problem. So we can only give/point help in a direction we think may help. Some have more in-depth knowledge than others and maybe somebody with better knowledge will come along as this really doesn’t seem like a problem that others would be concerned about.

Have you also looked a BBS diagnostics they are good but not cheap (cheaper than Bosch KTS which I am not convinced would do what you want either)
If you want the door open and radio on why not jut click the lock on the door so it thinks it’s closed:)
But now you are talking about windows too?

Can I ask. Can you not program a BMW module with all relevant info then put your vin in so your RR recognises it?

That’s a question not a suggestion, I don’t want you saying I gave advise and now it’s all “bricked”

Anyway I hope you can resolve your issue and if you do then please let us know how.

Good luck, thanks.

Also a really daft question, can the speaker be unplugged or is it built into the instrument panel plse

Once again sorry for the daft question

Old RR are not on MOST (optical comunication), they are simply electrical - sensor in door and on chassis, if the door is physical open the warning will be "gonging" 30 minutes, after that car stop all electric on car.

Yes I can, but to program it properly I need ZCS data of car with same options (2 axle air suspension, aux-ventilation, TV module, phone module and etc.), because ZCS data assign which options car have, and if in ZCS data we haven't option for example Bi-Xenon lights, the coding software will not upload a row from code to LCM module that control the bi-xenon headlights. If I download my LCS data with T4, I also will have problem, because some extras in RR have a totally different name and in LCS I'll have Phone, but in BMW ZCS generator I'll have 3 different phone modules with different codes and there are not only Phone, there are a lot of options with different names and codes.
And now I think this is the option for me - experiment with different ZCS data. The problem is that EEPROM have limit of writes on it and after reaching the limit, I'll need to clear EEPROM with programmer. I have no luck, this is a very, very old technology, I think it will be much easy to by facelifted one and do what I want wit SDD, hehehe.
And of course I'll post all information "how to"

I can unplug speaker, but speaker have a lot of function - park distance control alarm, outside temperature alarm, error warning (low oil level, air suspension and all other errors that can be displayed on dashboard), and if I unplug the speaker I'll lost all this functions and this is not okay, because PDC inform you for distance only by voice, there are no light indicator.

Hi

What was the thread u was looking for on bmw coders plse , as I managed to register and if u can let me know I’ll see if it will allow me to search or find some answers

Please check my vehicles, don’t look at the picture:)

Thank you and hope you sort it.

Oops, it was this web site I managed to log onto http://www.bmwcoding.com/forum.php

If u would be so kind to tell me what to search for I’ll see if I find anything on this coding forum

I have account at bmwcoding, I'm reading now threads, hoping find some that will help me. My question is more about another tool, not BMW tools. If someone know LR specific tool that can turn on/off functions at ECUs. And I can't understand why the bloody T4 diagnostic, that is original LR diagnostic, can't turn on/off a lot of functions in ECU's. Example - gong, a lot of options in LCM and many many more.

T4 can not do as much as you think.

Indeed , they use the T4 for a lot of the non OBD2 complaint vehicles , but u knew that already , lol
on mine they use the jaguar software , not the ford , but having my own iid saves me a lot of time and money by not having to go to them

Funny enough on the iid I turned the key in ign off with one press of the menu , simples , lol
