Afternoon all

I have an issue with my clutch in as much as the clutch pedal pokey out bit that locks onto the end of the master cylinder push rod has popped out.

I've popped it back in but I'm not convinced it's going to hold long.

Am I correct in thinking that the bit on the clutch pedal is just a metal pin and the bit that locks it in place is part of the plastic bit on the end of the master cylinder push rod? An image of both would help but I can't get Rave to run on my Win 10 PC so I'm struggling to get one.

If so can the plastic end bit be replaced or is it a new master cylinder?

Any temporary work arounds would also be welcomed.

Many thanks

Fritz

Ok, I found an image of both on Rimmers and it looks like it's the locking part of the plastic bit on the end of the master cylinder that's decided to self-isolate from the rest of it.

New master cylinder or fixable (I have a donor vehicle)? If so are the cheapo aftermarket ones any good or should I go OEM/ genuine Land Rover?

If you mean the pedal end plastic clip, why not swap it for the donor car clip?
Hi Andy

I mean the plastic bit on the end of the push rod. I've circled it in red on the attached image.

If I can switch it from the donor vehicle i will but not sure if it comes off or more importantly goes back on?

This might be helpful to you. On my phone so I can't tell if that's the part you are dealing with.

Hi Paul

At 1.03 it shows a plastic clip that the bloke pushes back into the ring on the end of the push rod. He re-uses later in yellow brush handle. It's that plastic clip that's U/S on mine. I didn't realise it came out but having seen that video I guess i can take the clip from the donor vehicle. Looks like I may not even need to remove the master cylinders.

Thanks guys

Fritz
