Can't find much on this here or online. When I'm setting off one the engine has been warm for a while, after about 20-25 mins, the clutch seems to stick off on the pedal then bangs on and I get going. Doesn't bang in any other gears or when moving.
The gear stick also goes very stiff. Like I'm stirring thick treacle. I'm planning to drop the oil and change it to see if that makes a difference. Don't know if this could be causing it.
Other things to note, my rear crank seal has fecked itself. Only changed it in November! Thought it had gone before but hadn't. It was the bearings on the input and layshaft which had play in them and this is where oil was coming from. New one didn't come with a plastic seal for the metal to metal face on the rear crank seal but we used plenty gasket paste on all surfaces.
I put on a Hd clutch kit when I had the box off and this makes a little noise when idling in neutral, but I suspect that is normal? Like a feint rattle.
As its when I'm releasing the clutch I'm narrowing it to release bearing/clutch fork? Does it just need greasing to allow it to be free moving on the shaft?
Or, should I buy a winning lottery ticket and get an Ashcroft short box?
