Well thinking about oak and brass. I have some plank offcuts of weird coloured wood. Like to press and glue and then turn and see what I can do

Hmm yeah. I can get small thin lengths of brass and add rings into it. Learning at the moment. Your guys have seen the sum total of my production!

Once you get good you'll be able to knock them out quickly though!
I have a length of brass sat about somewhere if its of any use to you, only a 7x1.5" rod I think but could work for something if you were to slice it thin
