they don't have that hill open anymore, i wanted to try it when i was there in November, when i asked the marshalls they said they had to Meany accidents there

And people wonder why 4x4-ers have a bad reputation - what a bunch of knôbs.

They were nice vehicles as well, particularly the Defender.:(

Well it's not perfectly good, its rotten, they show just how rotten in one of the videos. Land rovers were built to be durable and this guy just proves how durable it is and has the guts to push it to its limits.
If it was in new condition then I would be annoyed by watching this.
The fact the body work is all bashed up doesn't mean its no longer good as a doner car or that it's not recyclable.

i didnt say good did I?
has the guts to push it to its limits? dicks like that give everyone else a bad name as big lad said.WE are trying to make 4x4 drivers look more responsible.
How is trashing it proving its durability-mint condition at 300k miles would be a better example of that dont you think?
But i forgot-you were "impressed" so go find some one to trash their car for you so you can get a kick out of it...if you dont like my opinion, take yours to another forum

Okay, I think we should just agree to disagree on this.
I just think that if you can have some fun with a car that's clearly not going to be on the road again, then why not. I was impressed by what you can put them through, I knew they were tough but I think this shows just how tough.
Also, a bad name at what? They were off roading it at an off roading track, if they were driving like that on public roads then, again, I would completely agree with you.

Just shows what you know.

They weren't in a legal off-road place, they were .. well ... in a not legal place that has had coppers about seizing cars and bikes .. it's private land and the owners don't want people riding/driving on it!! Just 'cos lots of folk go there doesn't mean it's legal to do so.

This clips been posted a few times on here, mostly by noobies, like yourself and the OP, who think it's all new ... it's been discussed regularly and the consensus is they're a bunch of nobs, acting illegally and doing absolutely no good for anyone, especially 4x4's. I'd go further and say they're complete ****wits putting videos like this up. Leave the ****wittery to the merkins who are pretty good at it

We give the bobblehats ammo for their anti-4x4 arguments even when we're acting responsibly so to give them irresponsible ****e like this is just plain stupid.

Wow... the stick I can get for posting four words is quite incredible.
Land rovers are not supposed to be 'Chelsea Tractors', they were designed to be durable farm vehicles. So if you have a land rover that's done 3000 miles and is in mint condition then it's clearly not being used for the purpose it was intended, unless you are of course a proud farmer, but I have yet to meet one.
Anyway, a few of you clearly have strong opinions on this, and that's fine. But having a go at people who have a different opinion to you and implying they are stupid, now that's just nasty.

jog on

Huh? What's that got to do with the points I raised? Where did I say a Disco should be mint .. look at mine fercrissakes!!

I also didn't say you were stupid, and neither did I mention how easily you must be impressed, I pointed out that you and the OP were indulging in noobie ****wittery by reposting ****e that gives further ammo to those who want to ban 4x4's from anywhere ...

I haven't started being nasty yet ...
