If you get an older laptop try running ubuntu instead of windows. Boots up faster and will do mostly what you need it for. And it's free
Avoid the eeepc 7 inch as they are dogs, I have a eeepc1001ha which is 3 years plus old and had massive use still on original battery, hard drive failed so it has 1 tb drive now
Thanks for that but even with google translate it still means nothing
Using an ancient Dell running XP and it kinda works ok apart from slowing down to a crawl when it gets warm after about an hour and any movement of the screen causes it to go into standby and then won't do anything until shut down and restarted :doh:
Skint again now until I get work to a stage payment so stuck with it for now.
Worst thing is it won't open the lzir map without freezing Will just about run two tabs here and I can happily live without FB which gives it a fit.....but that I can understand
