Hi guys i have a question for you.
Im interested in doing a galvanised chassis rebuild and i just wondered if you didnt have a any complications like rusted bolts etc would it be a bolt on and off job or would you have to do lots of welding.
I realise this is a difficult question to ask but if theoretically all bolys etc were loose and easy then this question applies.

Thanks guys.

If no rusted bolts (hah) then it would be just a big bolt off/on job with no welding required.

The tricky bit might be that things wouldn't line up the same on the new chassis requireing new or bigger holes.

Its gonna be a big job!!!

As Dr Evil says make sure it's sound and cleaned up inside and out. I would get it shot blasted.

Also when its done you may want to spray over it so as not to reduce risk of it being nicked. If you do let me know as you need to use special primer but i cant remember what its called at the mo.

Good luck

Yep that should do it, worked over my galvo door tops and paint is still stuck on after 10 years, which is more than i can say from some of the alu panels :)

5 of us swapped a mates 88" in a weekend (not starting any earlier than dinner time each day due to beer consumed )
We had the use of a two post lift and the replacement was pre-prepared with axles but had no brake lines .
