I'm a bit confused over this one...yes proof of ownership to get coc from JLR a certified coc not a copy then a completed V55 form...send both to DVLA along with the vehicle Guernsey reg docs is afaik is all you need to do apart from copies you keep yourself or is it totally different in the UK now...

Morning Shippers,
No confusion required, that's pretty much how it is. We've passed the NOVA stage and paid the VAT.
It's just about filling in the V55 correctly.
Probably being a bit 'Belt and Braces', but the fewer empty boxes on the form the better.

Just read this thread so not sure where you upto but most of the info' on your list would be available in a good technical manual and some of it is irrelevant given the age of your vehicle.
Ie, the drive by Decibels. This was not a thing when the D2 was introduced so N/A
Hope you get it sorted, seems like a lot of messing for a vehicle of a certain age being moved from basically what is one part of the UK to another.
Especially given that type approval for Guernsey would be the same as the rest of GB and probably Europe.

Everyday a school day as they say. That was an interesting read but I would still think that the Certificate of Conformity would be the same all over Europe, very similar to the way it is in NADA.
Mexico, The US and Canada all have very similar regulations. Not saying I know about the subject, just it should be easier as the vehicle has been sold all over Europe so all laws have been complied with.

Very recently heard from a friend of mine in France that they will no longer accept the certificate of conformity supplied by the manufacturer. They will only accept one from French importers of the vehicle at the time. So no, it doesn't matter that they were once set up all over Europe, post Brexit things have changed for the worse. To the extent that even importing a Citroen registered in the UK is now difficult. They can make up the rules as they go along ansd we cannot stop them.

Certificate of Conformity Update:
Woohoo!
Managed to find customer service contact at JLR through social media.
Had to complete application form for CoC, as promised within 5 working days I have specific pdf certificate for the Discovery.
Back to the V55
Onwards and upwards

Good news but be aware a pdf is just a copy not an original coc supplied by JLR...
