Hi
I am unable to unlock my freelander using the key fob nor do the internal central locking buttons work. My key will only open the drivers side door. When I press the button on the fob it applies the alarm but I cannot hear any motors attempting to lock the car. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, Seems strange that all locks are not operating, the central locking fuse might have blown.. (F15 in the drivers side glovebox on mine).

What year and model is your Freelander ?

Also try resetting the door locking cut off switch which is mounted under the bonnet and on the bulkhead, passenger side - check the handbook for it :)

If its anything like a defender could be an earth too, clean the earth wire (- from battery) where it meets the chassis if the buttons on the car dont work either then the key fob should be fine

Thank you. It's an 05 plate S model. The only thing I hear us a clicking from the fuse box under the steering wheel. I will start by changing the fuse and take it from there. Thank you

It was the fuse, all fixed and only cost me 60p. Thank you all for your help, much appreciated x
