Central locking issue (not locking)

I have a jap import 300TDI R plate Disco.
Very tidy all round, but the central locking is playing me up.
When you press lock on the fob all the doors clunk down (back door on sounds like a machine gun) and then they pop straight back up, leaving the truck unlocked.

I am not 100% worried IF I could lock it manually but when I put the key in the drivers door it will not let me turn the key.
I know discos have a few problems in this area? Anyone have any info on what It maybe?

Try adjusting the back door actuator just by move the mounting plate slightly and the drivers door lock is stiff because it's rarely used with central locking.

Thanks for the info, I am not sure what the acuator is, but I will try and find out. Its weird sometimes it locks sometimes it doesnt.
I can lock it manually even though the key moves left to right, it doesnt seem to effect the locking at all??

The lock cannot be used manually the key will move clockwise but feck all happens. If I try any harder I will bend the key.

What is the Actuator?
Need to sort this out as I cant lock the truck.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need to take it to someone who can fix it.
