It sounds like the advertising guys have got to you.

Whilst you're picking up your more expensive antenna buy some swr grease too, and perhaps some bleed-beads for that troublesome breakthrough.

If you're picking one up second hand and it's only for use in a vehicle I don't suppose it matters what it is so long as it's an FM UK set.

If you're buying new then Maycom EM27 is about the best of the bunch on price/performance.
 
I just got 2 x Maxon 40chnl Cert/EU Hand held cbs (new in the box) from ebay for £20 each. I figure Cert/EU 40 is less used therfore less ****s playing ****e music at you when your trying to talk to your fellow laners!

that president veep used the same board as uniden, cause basically it is the same radio as the uniden 100 ( search uniden 100 )

yes it does, go and bloody look and you'll see they look exactly the bloody same, cause guess what, they are the same radio, duhhh...has it sunk in yet, yella told you to stay away from uniden but youve just bought one...duhhhh....

and the cobra 146/148 plus a host of other top end radios still use the same uniden board, so yeah, there really crap boards in them radios eh yella

and that veep was actually an am rig which are illegal

midland are allright but uniden have a superior board with better componentry, thats why sideband radios like the cobras and superstars used em

but if you wanna go and buy ****ty radios that dont do squat then listen to the idiots on here and not to me as i seem to know what i'm talking about with over 15 years testing and using them
 
FFS Dick1.7mm you really know how to make friends don't you. I don't know your a website designer with no website and an electronics genius who washes cars part time for a living. and we should listen to you because???

im not here to make friends, im just tryin to help out but clearly no one reads my posts.

and i didnt say i was an electronics genius, ive just used a lot of good equipment in the past, and yes, i have a uniden 100, they're good radios
 
ffs dik ed is there nothing you dont excel in, first web design, then car washing, now cb radio's. the reason i said dont but a uniden is because they arent as common as the cybernet board which makes obtaining spares fer em harder ter find. anyway, you are now saying you have a uniden 100, not on yer list is it, or did you just remember you had it after daft bought that one. ffs if someone on here bought a pound of dog **** you would have had one given yer

so the Veep is the same as the Uniden which is the same board as other top end radios which is illegal and ****ty and dont do squat.

would yu mind explaining?
