Hi all. are we aloud remove the cat from our landys, as i need to try and get a bit more power:confused:

Been done a few times recently, give it a search.

General concensus is if it came with one you need to have one, but on older diesels its a bit of a grey area.

ITs been covered a million times on every forum probably.

If you have a friendly MOT tester itll be ok, maybe....

but if they are a stickler (which is no bad thing at times) then it will fail. Unless it was never fitted with a cat from the factory.

I cannot be arsed to go to the search funtion......

D2 TD5 2001 XS - no cat, straight through centre section. No worries. Mind you , she did not have a cat fitted when she rolled off the production line ;) Gave the local landy dealer the VIN no. and they gave me a printout of her spec.
