Gidday, a couple of things, firtst of all, can anybody tell me what carb is fitted to my 1988 2.5 petrol 110. I know it is a twin choke weber, but would like to know the model code.
Secondly, i have read a few posts on here where people with the same type of vehicle, ie 2.5 petrol 110 or 90 have had the same problem that i am having.
Most of the time, the landy performs well, but when under load for a considerable time, (uphill for a couple of k's in third) after a while, it gets slower and slower and will eventually stall, unless i ease of the throttle and reduce the demand for fuel. I am 100% sure it is not getting enough fuel. I have kitted the carb, and although the landy runs better now, it still has the same problem. I have rteplaced the fuel filter, which was ok anyway but i think i may have to replace the fuel pump. The fuel pump is an in tank fuel pump so i thought about fitting an in line pump.
Does anybody know if the in tank pumps give problems, or are they serviceable?
The carb also has a casting fault. Where the idle solenoid plunger seats is partially missing and although this allows the engine to run on, i don't think it would cause my other problem.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
