Check your valve timing
How do I check the valve timing?
I was driving along the road when I lost power. Got the car started then when tries to accelerate car died. I took the fuel line off the fuel rail and the petrol is pumping out not sure of the pressure as I don't have anything to check with or how to check with out a gauge.
I am not a mechanic or that very clued up in major stuff just easy things I can do. Like change the pump check fuel rail. I have heard about a problem with fuel l
Filter and causing loss of pressure I have bought a brand new one from land rover but spoke to a mechanic there and was told that the filters are lifetime ones and should not need changed so i am truly lost.
Did you miss the part where he drained petrol from the fuel line?
careful there. If it ran on easy start then it is not timing. is a fuel issue
How do you figure that? They'll run with timing out. Easy start is so volatile it'll burn much easier than petrol. It's not a good basis for making conclusions!
