Cappings HELP!!!

Evening all,
Busy trying to rebuild my 90
New cappings have been fitted and all riveted in place etc. I was fitting the hardtop sides today and when I tightened the holding down bolt by the front door it’s lifted the capping a bit so now got paint movement!!
Any idea why it’s done this??
I’m using a YRM seal and YRM fixings.
Doesn’t seem right to me.

Landy's are just not precision made, when sections are bolted together something somewhere nearly always has to give. Meanwhile that texture paint you have applied will not flex. Likely when you drive it more cracking will happen in other places.
