Can't Fold Back Seats Down!

Hi.
I have a 2002 TD4 station wagon.

If you're standing at the back of the car looking into the boot at the back of the back seats, the right hand portion (the larger bit!), I can't fold down.

The handle that you pull is still in place but it has become detached from what I presume is the cable that pulls the lock on the seat open.

Handle feels loose and floppy.

is there an easy fix, or does this involve heavy-weight stripping of the rear seat?

Anyone any ideas how to get this working again???

Mine has no handle at all...You can just about pull the cable with your fingers but it can be tight. I have also used a small pair of pliers.

My handle has actually gone inside the foam somehow and I cant get it out.
