I have a 2011 5l s/c. The timed climate control is working when set up from the dash but I can't seem to manually start it using my fob. I tried re-pairing the fob by pulling the 5 amp fuse from slot 16 in the fuse box on the right at the rear, replacing it and pressing the OFF button on the fob within 5 seconds for at least 1 second, but I still only get a flashing red light on the fob. There is a new battery in the fob by the way.

What I have also noticed is that on the time climate control screen on the dash both "Manual Heat" and "Manual Vent" are greyed out. I wonder if this is because no remote fob has been paired.

Any help to get the TCC working before the weather gets worse would be appreciated.

IIRC I pulled the fuse in the boot to pair the system on my 2011 tdv8.
The greyed out section is also greyed out on mine, I have only seen it highlighted once, and cannot remember what the exact criteria was for that.

Cheers

Instead of pulling the fuse @hlarry try disconnecting the power lead from the telestart unit and then pairing the fob I have seen this mentioned on other forums as being the way to pair it if pulling the fuse doesnt work. The 2008 RR I have now has the telestart receiver fitted but no remote and as yet not had any luck finding one at a decent price so have fitted the Vellman I removed from the 2004.

It's a shame Vellman have stopped making them, looked on their website and it looks like they are going to introduce a WiFi version.

Have you read the fault codes for the heater, It will stop the system running.
Although not sure if it would show as a red light on the fob which means "no communication".

I don't think there is any intelligent connection from the car to the Telestart, just power. IMO you could bin the FBH and it should still pair if it has power. I spent weeks trying before I gave up and fitted a separate timer and remote controlled relay.

Well he has a lot to catch up on then:D.
Maybe hes fixed it but not telling:(
