Hi all, I am having difficulty identifying the paint colour/code of my ex military S3 - what are your opinions please? Please try and keep the replies of 'green' or 'greeny grey' etc to a minimum!

Isn't that a Defender colour? As in Lincoln Green. Someone trying to make it look like a Defender.

If you take a small piece, e.g a bolt with the paint on it to a automotive paint specialist, they should be able to match it. The trouble is that the previous owner could have made that particular shade by adding two of more greens and x amount of thinner.

Just wondering, are you asking, so you can touch up flaky or scratched bits, or are you wishing to take it back to it's military colour. If it's the former, I'd agree with take a sample to local paint shop. If the latter , I believe, but may be wrong , the unadulterated, nice, shiny, green versions were battleship grey undercoat, with bronze green high gloss finish.
Don't ask me how I know. It has nothing to do with denting the OC's LR, my first week out of Depot :D

Not immediately. Going with some of the others^^^^^^^^^^^. Guessing that might be a home made "custom" paint job.
The paint also looks suspiciously matte. Not quite like regular automotive paint finish.
