Can I fit Series Two wheels on a Three?

I've just bought a set of wheels for my series 3 and suddenly realised that they were taken off a series 2! Can someone tell me if they will fit or have I been a total idiot?

I have swapped the wheels between my s1 and s3 before today, look pretty much identical to me, only difference seems to be the size of the wheel nuts on the s3.

It'll be fine but just to think about there are a LOT of subtly different types! They'll all work though.
