C reg Defender with a 200 disco lump

hi folks.. new member, old habit.
got a new toy.

she's rough, but its straight and clean from rust (being 80% Ally body)

someone stuck a disco engine in her, (200 I think) and it runs like poo.
pictur of the injector from the 3 pot shows water on the oil... only in that plug...

its also got the wrong gear box/ diff but I got the one here for it (i think..)
any way... im going to get the old girl running after new years... need some injectors i think...

water in oil is usually a blown headgasket allowing water from a watertube to leak thru into the cylinder. White smoke is another usual indicator.

headgasket change takes about an hour if the head isn't warped. no camshaft or timing belt to worry about. simply unbolt. swap gasket and bolt back down.

thats good mine has push rods... im liking this! just watched a you tube video- seems i need a lot of tools, checking and measuring... maybe i need some new tools....

NOPE. NEVER!
my dad, his mate and I just bought it for £100 to use for shooting and generally killing stuff with....
I can rebuild a V4 motorcycle from the ground up, and have done many times... but never a deisel, and never something thats such a C*** to get to.. theyre just big, ugly and dirty!
