Hi - I recently sold a 90 'cos of advancing rot in the area under the front windscreen - amongst other things. It's been exported to rumania where they are much in demand it seems.

I've just viewed a 110. Lovely truck. But there are the initial signs of decay in one of the corners under the winscreen. It's an 02 vehicle and otherwise in great shape.

Finance dictates that I look for a 110 around this age. Am I being too optimistic to think that I'm going to find one that's sound in this area? How traumatic/expensive is getting this defect repaired.

Thanks in anticipation.

Rust in the corners of the bulkhead isn't the end of the world, there are pre-formed repair panels available that you can weld over the top or cut them in flush to hide the repair. But quite often if the corners are going then the footwells, door posts and strip hidden under the windscreen may also be going the same way.
Depending on how good you want it to look you'll have to colour match the repaired part of the bulkhead too as it's on display.
I have a 2002 90, the bulkhead is spot on but the rear cross member has a couple of large holes in it. The rest of the chassis is sound
