P38A Broken oil dip stick tube removal

Some advice would be appreciated please.

Am in the process of doing the head gaskets on P38 4.0 Thor. The dipstick tube snapped pretty much level with the block when I tried to remove it. It is stuck in there solid. Someone mentioned a left hand drill bit would get it out. I tried this carefully but that hasn't worked and I don't want to do any damage by being more aggressive with it.

Any thoughts and advice please??

Sump off & push it up from below maybe ??

I would drop the sump anyway, bound to be a bit of swarf in there even, drilling carefully.
