Braking question please help

Hi guys,

when braking reasonably hard i find the disco (d1 300 p reg edc) feels as if the steering wheel slightly wobbles (maybe pulls one side and its me correcting that make it feels wobbling, cant quite figure that out yet )
so i was thinking maybe a caliper stuck ?? or is it just how these feel when braking?
I have tried on several occasions to replicate it on a quite road even tried very loose grip on wheel and it does not seem to pull but if something happens and i have to get on the brakes pretty hard it always feels slightly
pulling or wobbling as said above ...........now other than me going stupid, which is always possible i cant seem to figure out what it is

I have not had any brake fade even towing to wales less than a month ago however i do seem to have a squealing that starts happening after 20 mile or so whilst driving not braking( its stops the squeal when brake applied)
Any ideas please, i am going to take off wheels and investigate over weekend so any advice on what to look for would be welcome

How would i know if a caliper is sticking??

I'd check the wheel bearings. If they're loose the disc can 'wobble' slightly and cause poor braking .. happens a lot offroad especially on rocky, bumpy, downhills.

If you suspect a piston is stuck in a caliper, take the wheel off, then remove the caliper, use something half as wide as the disc, say a chisel, between the pads and have someone slowly press the brake pedal so you can see if one piston sticks or not. The pistons are pretty easy to replace, the awkward thing is getting the seals back. Best bet is to really clean the caliper slots, get rid of corrosion and get the slots back to decent lips on them.
