Boost Pin

The biggest drawback I can see here is for those that already have tweaked pumps. Returning the diaphragm to the original position is usually easy enough because you can see the score mark made by the pin but there is no way you can tell how much the smoke screw or star wheel has been adjusted.

It took me weeks of fiddling around to de-tweak a pump without either clouds of smoke of flat as a pancake.

Ah....not good

It's not so bad if you made notes or whatever took pics on yer 'phone

but if you've bought it in good faith already tweaked, tis a begger ...

The chap that makes the pins for Timber Trail and Morgan Hill is saying that the soft pins are cheap copies from ebay being passed off as TT or MH pins but they are offering proper replacements as a goodwill gesture

Timber Trail have just been intouch with me.

They think it was a dodgy batch. Send em my pin and theyll send me a new one - that's all I wanted.

I assumed the original was sorry, maybe not.

These things do look tempting as an easy little boost?

i think the original pin is stainless, mine didn't seem rusty anyway :)

yeah, they look good for playing with the fuel, but it's a fair bit of cash for something so simple.

Well all I did was fit the pin and I got loads more boost

should be unrelated. i think your wastegate is stuck or actuator broken or fiddled with.

1.6bar/23psi is really high for stock. is your exhaust glowing? the temps might be really high, high enough to damage your engine.

egt gauge says it's safe, not often over 600, i'm looking forward to the day it breaks so i can fit something better :clap2:
