Jeepers, unlucky mate. No chance of some CCTV having caught the b*****d?

A couple of years ago we caught a couple of guys who were breaking into our car, who scarpered, but the police dogs found them pretty quick. We got the satisfaction that one of them got time with the new addition to his rap sheet, but we were still left with a broken window and damaged door panel.
 
Some scrotum wrote ptz in giant letters on the Mrs car unfortunately we didn't have cameras at the time but we do now
Hope there caught.... not that they will be forced to pay for the damage by our justice system just a slapped wrist no doubt
 
really hope you get them ,get one of those dash board cameras and wire it into your battery , they take very little to run and get a big g/b card so it has plenty of room on it . I caught a bloke scratching my old car simply because he had an argument with his wife(mind you that can happen to any body) I was just coming out of a shop I told him I had a camera in the car and I saw him look at the sign on the window , I had for got to put the correct date in the camera , but the police had it playing when they brought him in and he pleaded Guilty strait away ,and he had never committed a crime before , it ruined his life and it ruined my day, £600 fine and a years probation.
there is a man in Cannock down from Craddocks who dismantles Freelanders and he has been mentioned on he before see if some one can come up with a name . but I will keep and eye out for you for another bonnet

Sorry to see that some idiot did that to your bonnet.

There are a few for sale on eBay at the minute. I just searched for "green freelander bonnet" and I saw about five in the exact colour. Only looked briefly but most looked to be in good condition with raised lettering.

Checked ebay earlier, some are a bit of a drive
 
I found out what done the damage, its one of those small gas canisters that you see lying around in shady places.

Found one next to the fence, and one end is a perfect match for the damage

Feel for you mate ...what comes around goes around, hopefully the culprit will get the same treatment one day.

I have BlackVue DR400HD fitted front and rear,, but have a 'power magic' box installed so they run when parked for 12 hours (programable 6/12/24 etc) or if the battery voltage drops below 12.0 or 11.8 again programable.

Up norf. Google 'Blackvue power magic' and it should come up. Cost around £35 each ish. Several companies sell them. Need a switched live and a permanent live. The output from the 'box is a 12v auxiliary socket. Easy to install one you have the power in place. I ended up paying an auto electrician to fit the rear one. I did the front.
