Plusgas...........no other compares......
Always used Granville but got a can of plusgas last time and it is better to be fairPlusgas...........no other compares......
u still there? looks like a great day, i have been playing brake lines, would have liked to have gone!
Yeah I've seen your thread, busy man today!
No we left about 4pm.
It was good but not big enough really, not enough trade stands compared to when it was just billing land rover show. Mini monster trucks and soft play for kids, bouncy castle etc. Off road course was quite good but billing 4x4 show is better all round of the 2 now i suspect. We'll do billing instead next year. Still had great day though, got new front shocks for a tenner too
sounds like a good family day out, for a one day visit, and yes well chuffed with my brake pipe toys, i am on the prowl now looking for brake pipes on our other vehicles to see if any need doing!
Decided to do 1 side tonight. Turning into one of those jobs!

Then 3 of the 4 studs on the turret ring snapped I was ded careful anorl , plusgas and wire brush the threads first, softly softly, catchee monkey. **** you land rover and your chocolate fixings
Trip to john craddocks tomorrow then for 2 new rings and probably a spring compressor. Unless I just drop 1 end of the axle but I'm not 100% keen on that

Ahh see ive done a few turrets now my method is to apply as much force as possible to ensure they snap off. Easier to remove and I always replace with HD units which are only a couple ££ more than standard.
Spring clamps are are useful just be careful ive had one snap before damn shocking.
Looking good though! Shame we didnt bump into each other over the weekend, probably as I spent much of it sleeping... lol
Get a cheapo pop up gazeebo perfect for all weather fookingn fiddlin!
I have one thats years old use it with a 12x12 plastic tarp n some grip clamps from screwfooks even got sides to it, very cosy!
You dont need no need a spring compressor!!!, they just fall out mind yer toes!
Lmao I'm defo going that route towards winter pal!
yep! i would not do it any other way, easy, got to fit my tasty tubular turrets this week so will be joining you in 'spring' spirit on that job!I've actually seen that vid lol I'll watch it again tonight, im doing one side at a time anyway so be easy enough to drop the 1 end won't it?
